Coaching for Professionals and Creatives in New York City
A career move, a business idea, a song you want to release, or a talk you have to give can stay on your mind for months without getting enough time or attention in your actual week. Coaching at Two Point Oh helps you strategically decide what needs to happen next, prepare for it, and follow through.
As a former startup CEO, singer/songwriter, and performer, I’ve held many of the responsibilities that bring people to coaching.
That experience shapes our sessions:
A leader can rehearse feedback they have been avoiding.
A founder can decide which three priorities deserve attention this month.
A presentation can be practiced aloud.
A creative project can be given a schedule that accounts for the rest of your life.
Our work together is specific to the goal in front of you.
You’ll leave our coaching sessions knowing:
What you are going to do.
When you are going to do it.
And what to practice along the way.

How is coaching different from therapy?
Both can be direct and practical, but they serve different purposes.
-

Therapy is clinical care.
It can treat anxiety, depression, and other mental-health concerns and address patterns affecting how you feel, make decisions, and relate to others. You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from it.
-

Coaching is a separate, nonclinical service built around a defined goal in the present.
You might prepare for a leadership conversation, rehearse a presentation, move a creative project forward, or build routines that fit your life. It does not include diagnosis or mental-health treatment and cannot be billed as psychotherapy.

-
Yes. Those experiences are part of pursuing a goal. Coaching can account for them while staying focused on preparation and action. If mental-health symptoms or deeper emotional concerns become the main focus, therapy or another appropriate clinical service would be discussed.

Yes. Sessions may focus on making time to write, preparing for a performance, getting a project ready to share, working with collaborators, or finding a workable rhythm for your creative life. Creative coaching is distinct from vocal instruction or psychotherapy.
-
Yes. Coaching can give you a place to rehearse a presentation, practice introducing yourself, prepare for a networking event, or work on starting and sustaining conversations. The focus is on the skill you want to use in real situations.
-
An intensive gives a specific goal more dedicated working time than a standard session. You might use one to prepare a talk, work through a career or business decision, plan a creative project, or practice for an upcoming event. The goal and format are agreed on in advance.
-
Workshops and events may focus on communication, public speaking, creative work, career development, leadership, or building social connection. Some are designed around learning a skill; others give participants a chance to practice it with other people. Current topics, dates, and formats are shared as they become available.
-
Yes. Coaching can help you create routines that fit your actual life and adjust them when your schedule changes. If weight loss is a personal goal, coaching can support consistency with the habits you choose. It does not provide medical care or nutrition plans.

No psychotherapy superbill is provided for coaching. Coaching is a separate, private-pay service and cannot be submitted as psychotherapy for out-of-network mental-health reimbursement.
Please Note: Coaching is a nonclinical service centered on defined goals and present-day action. It does not include mental-health diagnosis, psychotherapy, or treatment. Two Point Oh offers individual coaching as well as corporate and private workshops, group events, and focused coaching intensives.
